Adoption at La Valle Incantata Dog Park

Update: Pepe, Our Little 10-Year-Old Grandpa, Has Found a Home

Thank you to his new family!!!!

Would you like to adopt a less fortunate furry friend too? Why not?

No space or time? Think about a remote adoption: you can still make a difference!
Pepe is a small dog of around 10 years old, with a curly black coat. This friendly, affectionate little grandpa came to the La Valle Incantata Dog Park after his owner gave him up, having spent his whole life in a hunter’s kennel. Now Pepe is looking for a new family who can give him the love and attention he deserves.

Pepe’s personality: calm and friendly

Pepe is an extremely calm dog who’s friendly with everyone. He loves being around people and adores a cuddle. Lots of people who’ve taken him for a walk have come back delighted with how gentle he is. He’s also very active: he loves playing ball and fetching, with surprising energy for his age.

A dog with character: independent and lively

Pepe isn’t your typical little handbag dog. He loves exploring the world on his own four paws, so he’s looking for an adopter who’ll respect his independent streak. For this reason, a family without small children would be best, as Pepe doesn’t like being picked up.

What Pepe needs in a home

The ideal home for Pepe would be quiet, preferably with a fenced garden and away from busy town centres. He’s used to sharing a kennel with other dogs, both male and female, and gets on well with them. If you already have a dog, though, we recommend a meeting at the shelter first so they can get to know each other and we can check they get along.

Pepe and other animals

Pepe is used to the lead and loves going out for regular walks. He’s also been tested with cats and tends to ignore them, so he could live peacefully with them.

Pepe is healthy and ready for a new family

Pepe is in excellent health, vaccinated and neutered. He’s at the La Valle Incantata Dog Park in Lajatico (PISA), which is open every day from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm. No appointment needed to come and meet him!
