HOW TO ADOPT A CAT

If you’d like to give one of our cats a home, here’s how the adoption process works:

1. Visit the cat shelter: Come and see us, meet our residents and find your new furry companion.

2. Fill in the pre-adoption questionnaire: When you visit, we’ll ask you to fill in a short questionnaire. It helps us understand your needs and make sure your home is the right place for the cat you’d like to adopt.

3. Home visit: Next, one of our volunteers will drop by your home for a friendly chat. It’s a chance for us to get to know you and to check that your home is a good, safe place for a cat.

4. Agreeing to spaying/neutering: Adopters of kittens must agree to have them spayed or neutered. Adult cats are already spayed or neutered when they go home with you, as part of our commitment to fighting the stray problem.

5. Welcome home, new friend: If the home visit goes well, you’re free to come back to the shelter and take your new cat home.

We love walking this road to responsible adoption with people as committed as you are. If our process feels right to you, we’ll be happy to welcome you into our family. If you don’t agree with our approach, we kindly ask you to look elsewhere.
